Christmas Day

A lovely day. A classic southern hemisphere event-wall to wall sunshine, no wind, eating breakfast on the deck, then Sara slaving over a hot cooker to produce roast turkey, roast tats, bread sauce and the rest.

Everyone had excitement opening their pressies. I was spoilt, Sara was spoilt and the children were spoilt!

Party time

So the party happened. It went on too late. Saturday we were tired. Today we are feeling better.

Sara danced and looked good. The girls served the food. Joseph and Nathan served the beer and wine.

Many pairs of feet were tired and bruised. I blame the inappropriate foot wear.

PhD Graduation

So the big day finally arrived.
An initial presentation at the graduate school for all those students graduating, from certificates to PhDs. There were speeches and tears all around. After some professional photos and nibbles it was off to the bar for a brief interlude, before we were at the official ceremony at the Michael Fowler centre.
Then Sara and the other doctorate people starred before the masses came up to receive their degrees. we gave a big shout as Sara was called up to shake hands and be acknowledged.
It was a great occasion and we are all very proud of her.
