After the severity of last winter, with cold weather for weeks, and now snow in November, does one ask what is happening? Does it fit with predictions or does one still explain it with the tilt of the earth’s axis? Maybe that depends on whether one swings with neo-liberal or social democratic arms.

The whole weeked has been filled with glorious sunshine. It was been hot, not just warm, but hot. The skies have been clear and blue, the air has been calm. Beautiful. It is a while since I can remember a run of weathet like this. Just loveit, anf there is more to come for the rest of the week.
The boys went to Khandallah pool today, which is open in the summer. Joe was there yesterday on its first day of the season.
I was active in the garden yesterday, clearing anf planting. Today I enjoyed a short cycle ride just for the exercise.

With England in trouble in Brisbane, does Isaac’s middle stump bowling victim mean he is in line for a call up?
Isaac had a bit of trouble with the bat. He only scored 3 runs, struggling agianst some pace bowling.
His own bowling was improved from last week and he tormented the batsman before the 4th ball of the over rattled the stumps. Maybe the season is on the up?

Watch out we are coming!
Those were the days
Joe’s birthday
The sun is really shining
Yesterday was a turning point.
It was sunny and hot. So much so, that when I went to Isaac’s school affer work to see two teachers, I sat in front of them dripping in my cycling kit.
On reaching home there was real evidence of change. Sara and EQ were out on the deck reading and working.
Then I joined in. I put on shorts and jandals for the first time, we cooked on the BBQ and brought the sun umbrella out.
Now the big question. Is summer here, or was yesterday summer?

Can it be any better than this when you are sixteen?
On Monday evening it was the St. Mary’s senior prize giving. A long event as it turned out, from 7pm to 9-30!
However, for Eleanor the time spent was very worthwhile. As well as receiving one of the four academic excellence awards for her year, she also won the Year 13 prize for German. The latter comes with a big cup!
And today was the leavers mass for the Year 13 students, and so the appointment of the new leadership team. Eleanor was interviewed last week for the five posts than run from Head Girl to Special Character captain, Cultural captain, Level leaders captain and Sports captain.
At the end of the mass the new leaders were announced, and Eleanor is now Deputy Head Girl: Special Character. I am sure it is a mark of her personality, character and giving nature.
Her parents are very proud, and she is very pleased; and quite rightly so.
